Hospice has provided care to almost 22,000 families
representing 1,080,336 days of Hospice Care.
- The Medicare and Medicaid Hospice Benefit
(as well as commercial coverage) divides hospice
care into four levels: Routine Home Care, Inpatient

- Volunteers dedicated over 10,100 hours of
service to help Hospice families with a variety

Companies cover: hospice services, medications
needed for symptom management, and durable medical
equipment.
- Good Shepherd Hospice sponsors a unique Palliative
Care Department that serves the community through
educational sessions and direct psychosocial
support.
- Hospice Emergency Services are available on
a 24 hour / 7 day per week basis!
- We serve the residents of Nassau and Suffolk
County NY.
- 90+% of Good Shepherd Hospice’s full-time
eligible nurses have obtained a special certification
to care for Hospice and Palliative Care patients.
- 99% of the families that have received care
from our program would recommend Good Shepherd
