TITLE: Hospice Chaplain – 2 per diem positions available REPORTS TO: Director of Pastoral Care

SUMMARY:

Good Shepherd Hospice, a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, has an immediate opening for a position in the Department of Pastoral Care.  Our chaplains are active members of an interdisciplinary team and provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and in the home. 

Board certification is preferred, however, candidates who have completed four units of CPE and are actively pursing a Master’s Degree and professional certification will be considered. 

Strong organizational skills and flexibility to work the hours necessary to enable Hospice top meet its commitments to the patients / residents and families. 

Willingness to travel to patients’ homes and provide own transportation in all types of weather. Possesses a current, valid New York State driver’s license.
